Canadian media figure Conrad Black is a favourite in the blogosphere. But the US fraud charges against him - with the arraignment set for tomorrow - drew as much interest from legal minds. Defence lawyers McNabb Associates noted Lord Black was charged with mail and wire fraud - the use of mail and telecommunications to carry out a fraud (trans nationalcrimes blog.com). Others wondered if it was a sign of a weak case, or an easily provable one, given how difficult fraud cases are to prosecute.
